About Nimble Networks

Nimble Networks will consist of twenty-one individual workshops to be conducted throughout Florida in the 2019 calendar year. Each of the seven Regional Domestic Security Task Force (RDSTF) areas will host three workshops of increasing complexity, allowing counties and municipalities to gain understanding of their communications needs and how a Public Safety Broadband network can improve communications.

Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network

The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS), through the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP) 2.0 grant, will conduct a series of workshops throughout the state and including all Regional Domestic Security Task Forces (RDSTF) and their constituent counties. The SLIGP 2.0 grant was created to support States and territories as they further plan for NPSBN (Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network) deployment and public safety user adoption in the post-State Plan period. The DMS SLIGP 2.0 workshops will assist county and regional communications staff in developing updated plans to address public safety communications (voice and dedicated broadband data), situation awareness tools, integration of Smart City data and technology, and comprehensive inter-agency data sharing with current and future NPSBN users in emergency and disaster response.
